For Project Managers | Project Managers need to be aware of LBNL requirements, standards and guidelines related to design project deliverables to LBNL. This page contains guidance, information, and links to content so PM’s can easily provide AE’s and internal teams with everything needed to deliver a project that complies with LBNL and DOE requirements. |
Published Master Specifications | Follow this link to Master Specification Management Site. |
CAD Document Request | Link to form to request AutoCAD and/or PDF files from drawing Archives. Note that Existing Condition Source (ECS) drawings are floor plans, Project drawings are drawings from incremental projects, and Legacy drawings are typically scanned drawings from pre-CAD archives. Please follow guidance on form. |
LBNL Record Drawing Submission | Link to form where project submissions can be submitted. Please follow guidance on form. |
LBNL CAD Drawing Number Request | Link to form to request LBNL drawing numbers. Drawing numbers should be requested between 90 and 100 percent of design completion. |

Laser scanning provides use across many functions. | |
Virtual Site | Some locations cannot be accessed easily by interested parties. A laser scan point cloud provides a millimeter precise representation of focused area. |
As is Model | As built drawings rarely depict the exact depiction of the built area. Point clouds represent an absolute representation of the scanned area. |
Design model | As point clouds are a precise representation of an area, brown field designs can be precisely modeled against a point cloud reducing RFI’s or Change orders during construction. |
