All international shipment except printed materials
We cannot ship any international packages until they are reviewed and approved by Export Control. Please contact ExportControl@lbl.gov prior to dropping the package off.
Shipping large items or material requiring packaging

- Material already in packaging requiring next day delivery in the U.S. must be dropped off at Building 69 before 2 p.m.
- All non-printed materials being shipped must be handled through the Shipping Department
Large and/or fragile shipments
The Laboratory uses several freight forwarders depending on time frame, destination, and special handling requirements.
For international shipments, the Laboratory utilizes a customs brokerage for both outgoing and incoming non-domestic freight. Chemicals may be shipped with proper documentation. LBNL Shipping is available to help prepare outgoing shipments and to provide cost effective solutions for all of your shipping needs.

Receiving
Looking for a package coming into the Lab? Go to https://trackit.lbl.gov to search. Click Advanced Search. Expand Item Information Filters on the left hand side. Enter the PO number and hit enter or enter the package tracking number as * plus last 5 digits in the Tracking Number field. Hit apply search for results.
All materials received in Central Receiving are processed into the IBox/Trackit package tracking software which communicates with FMS to complete the procurement cycle.
Purchase order and materials requiring DOE tagging are then tagged by Receiving personnel and the numbers captured in Trackit, and transferred to FMS Property Management system.
