WELCOME TO FACILITIES

Let us support your every facilities concern or need

The Facilities Division provides building maintenance and infrastructure support for over 90+ buildings at the Lab covering 200+ acres of groundwork, and in addition, management of various Lab site services and amenities. We are committed to supporting our Lab community through excellent service delivery.

SUBMIT WORK ORDER

If you have building needs that are general maintenances, minor alterations, transportation, extra custodial services, etc, submit a work order.

CONTACT MY FAM

The Facilities Area Manager (FAM) is your point of contact for all building issues and ongoing work order requests.

SUPPORT HOTLINE

Our support hotline is available from 7am to 3:30pm. When you cannot reach your FAM, email WRC or call ext 6274.

If there is an urgent situation in your building (water leak, etc.), call the Site Operations Center at 510-486-6999. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911.

Groups

The Facilities Division supports the core research mission of Berkeley Lab by maintaining a safe and functional site, and providing services and spaces for world-class science. Facilities provides space planning; engineering support of new building design and construction; renovation, repair, and restoration of existing spaces; operations and maintenance of buildings and grounds. Facilities also serves the Lab community through its management of contract services for the Lab’s guest house, cafeteria, fleet, transportation, shipping, and receiving services.

Resources

The Facilities Division has identified elements and best practices that provide recommendations that could be used to strengthen the operational culture safely and efficiently at Berkeley Lab, and identified tools that would be beneficial to these efforts.
