Submit a request for Facilities Engineering to conduct a plan or document review.
Requirements:
- Jira Account: You need a Jira account to submit a request.
- Permit Application: To submit a plan review, you must first submit a permit application for your project. After you submit a permit application form, you can immediately request a plan review. You do not need to wait for approval from the Permitting Program Manager.
- You only need to submit a permit application once for your project; after that, you can reference the same permit for all plan reviews.
- Engineering Resource Request: In most cases, you should also have requested an engineering team for your project. This ensures that the Code Compliance Office knows which engineering SMEs to engage in the plan review. If you don’t know if you need to submit an Engineering Resource Request, you can make a note in your plan review request form or reach out to the Permitting Program Manager.
Who will review my plans?
A plan reviewer may fall into one of two categories:
Fully Integrated Reviewers
Fully Integrated Reviewers are LBNL groups who maintain agreements with Code Compliance. The Code Compliance Office will directly coordinate your plan review with these groups, as needed. As a requestor, you do not need to take additional action
Other Plan Reviewers
Other Plan Reviewers are any other LBNL individuals or groups besides Fully Integrated Reviewers. As a requestor, you must note the email addresses of those who should be sent the plan review in the “Other Plan Reviewers” section of the plan review request form.
Fully Integrated Reviewers:
- Building Code Official (FAEN)
- Facilities Engineering (FAEN – see your engineering team assignment here)
- Electrical Code Compliance/LBNL IAHJ Electrical (FAEN)
