The Site Services Department is the operational backbone of Berkeley Lab, delivering the essential site-wide support that ensures everyday safety, efficiency, and comfort. We manage the complex logistics that keep the Lab moving, including comprehensive custodial care, mail, shipping, and receiving operations from receipt to delivery, equipment transportation, and vehicle fleet oversight. In partnership with the Sustainability team, we champion green campus initiatives through responsible waste hauling. We also manage the Lab’s food services, vending machines, and oversee the Guest House.
